Brainstorming Sessions. Writing Drafts. Candid Captures. Late Night Designs. Edits and Revisions. Repeat for the next 447 pages.
This is the story of what it takes to make the Ibis.
The Ibis Yearbook is a nationally award-winning, 448-page publication with 28 passionate and invested staff members who give it their all to produce the best possible content for the student body at large. Our hope is that whether it is today, next year, or 10 years from now, students can flip through the pages and fondly look back on their time at UM. We capture all major events, sporting games, and everything in between to create a comprehensive record of the year. We are a resource, a memory box, a keepsake for generations to come.
We are rich in talent and boundless in what we can achieve. The students that go through our program continue onto careers in publications such as The Washington Post, USA Today, and New York Times.
We are reaching out to our fellow 'Canes and Coral Gables community to help us achieve more excellency. Any amount can go a long way in reaching our yearly goal of $5,000. The donations we receive will go towards obtaining new equipment such as cameras and computers, more advanced software for designers and photo editors to use, and purchase promotional tools so we can continue reaching more and more students and become a presence on campus.
